AHHH SO TIREDDD!! X_XWent for medical appointment @ NUH for my injured knee today.Man what a day,this knee is making my life way more entertaining than necessary <_<
Firstly I never gone NUH by bus,so I got lost.yaaay,I ended up dunno which interchange(clementi I think),and had to take a return bus to get down at the correct place =_='
Well,no matter right,cos my appointment's at 2.40pm and I reached the correct place at 2.40,sharp.
WRONG.
Apparently everyone there also has an appointment letter like me wthhh F55 I had to sit through registration for 25mins!(with only 6 people infront of me from the start).Talk about "fast and efficient".
The doctor was a funny guy....and I think its just me,always running into weirdos and weird scenarios.
Doc: Ok..so how's it feeling now?
Me: Yea,its getting better now,not much pain.
Doc:Oh good good..lets see you injured this er..lemme see,last week huh..monday..
Me: ..er..its over a month now ._.
Doc:oh? *stare* but you injured your right shoulder last week correct?
Me: huh... =_=' uh..I injured my left knee
Doc:*stare*...........You're Lee meng wee right?
Me:......no.(how the hell do I even look chinese?!)
Doc:*looks at number slip* ohhh..almost same,wrong on though..hahaha ok lets see..Elamaaran correct? *smile*
Me: yea....(shit,I'm dead.This guy is gonna kill me.)
Then he decided to inspect the swelling,
Doc: isit still painful?
Me: only if you press then yea
Doc*starts massaging around and pressing*
Me: (stop that...I'm gonna kill you dam old man F55)
In the end after pressing around and amusing himself,the old geezer asked me to go to another room and wait.Apparently he decided to inject and draw out the blood from the swelling(apparently its a clot).
For once I didn't hafta wait long,few mins after sitting outside the new room,this really cute young nurse attended to me and called me in,some briefing on what the mad doc was gonna do to my leg.
Nurse:ok Maaran,so later we'll be injecting the injured leg,which would be your right-
Me:Left
Nurse:oh! Left! oh sorry *laugh*
Me:(ahhh kawaii *__*)
Nurse: so later the doctor will remove the blood from the clot..
Me: (shit damn geezer F5 why can't the cute nurse do it instead T_T)
Nurse: ah..ok so you wait here first la,and you'll need to change to the hospital clothing first,cos the injection might be messy later,we don't want your jeans to get stained ok? ^^
Me: ok ^^ (crap..messy?..wth are they planning to do..T__T) *anxious*
So for the next 10mins+ I jus followed her around to get the clothes,then went to a small room all the way inside..a small room by itself with a bed
Nurse:ok you change first,then we'll get the things ready,just let me know when you're done
See! All looks good right,cute nurse waiting for me to change then prepare stuff,making my visit to the hospital all smooth and peaceful again...
WRONG.
For one the hospital clothing looks like some apron,so i thought she gave me the top when i needed the bottom only,so I pulled back the curtain to tell her.
Me:uh..hey you know-
*stares into this really fierce looking old woman*
Old fierce woman: HELLO! WHY HAVEN"T WEAR YOUR CLOTHES?
Me: hi ._. *meek mode* I think she gave me the wrong one,she gave the top,I need the bottom
Old fierce woman:*smile* no dear...its a one piece,u just wear over,it'll cover the whole body,don't worry
Me: oh,ok i get it,I go wear now ._.
Old not so fierce but just looks fierce woman:Very smart =)
So later on I found out she was the head nurse of that ward,all the other younger nurses call her "mama".
With nothing left for me to do,but wait for the doc,mama told me to just lie down on the bed and relax.
Hey nothing wrong yea?Just relax,wait for doctor and all...
WRONG.
The old guy took 1hr to get his ass to the ward which was jus a corridor away F555.And I fell asleep while waiting '<_<
So the doc finally decided to carry out the injection and drawing blood.
Doc:Ok I need some iodine*insert random dangerous sounding chemical names*,and the needle
Mama:Ok we got the pink one,small fine one
Doc:no no,get me the green one
Mama:the thick one?
Doc:Ya the thick one,the very thick one,draw blood.
Me:(Thick one....?) ~x.x~
Add the smallness of that lone room,dim lights and lack of vision due to lying upright,I felt like I was truly in some mad scientist lab.argh =_=
But turns out he just needed the small fine one to inject the anesthetic,the big one later insert to the open wound to draw blood.
oh well..all well,ends well...right?
WRONG T_T
Doc:hmmm I can't draw any blood,nothing.Get me some *insert more random chemical names*
Me: (ah there goes my leg...)
Doc: hmmm very solid the swell.might not be blood you know,I think we need to take some tissue samples to send for lab.
Mama:ok
Me:(tissue samples...wth?!)
From mad scientist my thoughts went to resident evil =_='l|
But die die in the end they jus took some tissue samples from my leg,and sent it for some lab check.
Well at least the cute nurse escorted me to the cashier T.T
The payment came up to $187+.Luckily since I'm still serving ns,it was free.
BUT
My next follow up is on the 13th dec.
...I ord on the 10th.
